Problem starting

I have a 54 plate rx-8, it has developed starting problems, it's not flooding I have flooded it twice in the past and know these symptoms.What it does is starts great from cold but after running for a while I switch off and it won't start again when hot, if I leave it for a while it will start ok.
Any one any suggestions?

I'd expect a 4 figure bill on it's way. The good old rotary problems are rearing their ugly head like they did on the RX7.
