Just had a great High Octane weekend...

My younger brother, who is over from Australia, has never driven on the track before so I lined up some days for us over this weekend.

First up was Silverstone South on Friday - was going to take my Ultima GTR but lack of suitable tyres meant I did it my 630i convertible. Slow but a lot of fun.

Next was Nurburgring on Sunday (tourist day) - Big thanks to Dale from RSR in getting us sorted with a Megane R26. Was great fun and my brother managed a 8.58 B2G on his third lap!! After that I didn't sit in the car with him anymore.

Finally on Monday, yesterday, I fulfilled a childhood dream and drove SPA Francochamps for the day in a Lotus Exige 240 (although I suspect was a little de-tuned, that's my Racer Excuse anyhow). Again my brother set a blistering pace for a complete novice of 3.08 per lap. It took me a while but I finally got him with 3.06.

I have a Racelogic Data and camera system so we got to capture the whole lot.

So all in all a great weekend and for anyone who hasn't done either Spa or Nurburgring then get yourself down there and try them.
