Hi

Just called my service provider to renew my subscription and was told they were unable to process my payment until their system can communicate with my car. Apparently, the problem is their end and not with my car. They will call me back when it's resolved.

This has got me wondering as a few times in the past I have been able to drive my car having forgotten the 'transponder' I have to have with me in the car and yet no alert from the tracking system people to say that the car has been moved without it.

Anyone had similar experiences? It seems that the systems aren't as reliable as they would have us believe?

Cheers

Guy

I have been called a few times by the people tracking my car asking where it is and am I driving it. I also phone them when the car is in storage or when being serviced. Fun to use the web if you have that facility!!!

The Maserati used (navtrack) a stupid credit card sized thing that needed to be in the vehicle before you started the engine, few times managed to pop to the shops without it and never got a call and other times they'd just call you mid journey and ask your security password even if you had the card with you.

The Cerb just used Tracker and it seemed to work great, I'd get a phone call within minutes whenever the AA put it on a flatbed rolleyes
