Went to stick the Clio through the car wash today, having filled up at my local Morrison's petrol station (it's the cheapest in town) bought the bronze wash (cheapest, no wax) and went round to enter the code from my receipt into the machine...not recognised. Tried again a couple times, still no go, so went back round to the kiosk. Till dolly looked at the receipt and realised she had put it through the till as a vacuum (which was actually cheaper than the wash, she charged me for the vac, the cheaper price but I didn't notice). 'Terribly sorry,' she says, 'I'll give you a test wash, no charge'. I hagve a smile on my face even though it didn't get all the pigeon st off the car. Well played, Morrisons petrol station till person!

no she didn't charge me the extra for the wash..only a quid but still a good resolution. I would happily have paid the correct price for what I wanted.

So she caused you hassle, distress, wasted time etc. and a 'free' upgrade was 'great customer service'?

I'd say that was the very least she could do for fking up your original purchase.
