Where did this conversation take place? If it was behind your house how did he see it?

Just now. He probably had a nosey because of the track car building happening on the drive.

Oh fk. As above really they'll be back and things will go missing or arrive.

They came around "selling rugs" (there were no rugs in sight...and I dont think it was mail order) and then the next day 3 horses arrived to eat the communal grass out front.

Im off outside to lock everything up. We have a saxo on stands st the mo - becoming a track car. I think its a 90% probability that the stands will be replaced with bricks by the morning.

I fking hate pikeys.

Oh the saxo cannot really be nicked at the mo, even by pickey standards. No engine, g/box, interior and there are 2 other cars between it and the road.

I'd put it in the garage but its full of lathes at the mo.

I'd be suprised if they didn't have a go though. Pics will be provided when its at a suitable stage.

They've started this crap round my parent's estate as well. Hauling stuff out of skips in front of people's houses and offering to scrap cars parked up in people's driveways for free.

Hate the fking lot of them.

If it can be reached by hiab from a truck it's at risk.

This sounds all too familiar, i was stripping a car on my drive and had a couple of pikeys asking if parts were scrap. Id told them no and ended up having a back axle, cross member and brake discs stolen the following night. A few days later my neighbour commented that he had seen a transit van come and go on a couple of occassions and 2 guys knocking on my door and having a proper look around the car so he'd called the police who didnt bother to turn up as its not illegal to look at a car on someones drive....

Them fking pikies. I get them going in the skip at work most days. The bits they don't want get discarded on the floor around said skip. Which I have to then go and put back in the skip. Or you get a knock on the door and they say got any wire. You say no, Then they come out with some lies along the lines of, well last time I was here the boss had given me a load and the guy was saving more for me to pick up next time. So you must have some for me. Which is utter horse crap as I'm the boss.

Or do you want to sell the work van.

Or pallets go missing if left outside, so I now have to keep them in the warehouse.

I have stupidly negotiated with one to take a load of old st that had been outside, that I wanted to get shot of. There was a decent amount of metal in there so come to a deal of take the lot. Go inside to answer the phone come out and all there doing is loading up all the good stuff and leaving the crap. Which coursed some confrontation, they said they would be back later to collect the rest and give me £50 (yeah right) for letting them take it. Guess what... never seen again.

The problem is there are so many that come around, you are forever telling them not to go in the skip. I've given up now. I just don't put any metal in there anymore, so have to store that in the warehouse aswell. It's so bad that I took me a year to fill the last skip up. It use to take a couple of months to fill before. So I then get the skip hire company moaning that we don't get it picked up enough. Some of them will just say ok and don't go in the skip. Others will argue which isn't very enjoyable as they’re so bloody difficult to understand and intimidate you.

I been told that I shall have a gypsy curse put upon me. The only bit I understood were the lots of hell Mary’s coming out of his mouth. Oh and you get “god bless ya” a lot. Some are so close to animals rats being the best likeness, they live and smell like rats.

I'll finish there as I'll be here all day.
