There appear to be a few parts missing, but I spotted this a few weeks ago on Studland beach...

It's a little over a foot in length, I reckon it's a damper with parts of a suspension assembly.

Any ideas?

Also if anyone wants a restoration project, let me know and I will give you the exact location. smile

Oh dear, a severe case of petrolhead-itis. Notice how the poor fellow immediately associates anything he encounters with cars in some way. What he has actually taken a picture of, is a bit of crab hehe

I think he was trying to put his willy in some middle-aged divorcee while her ex-husband's best mate thraps off.

Anyway, for what it's worth, my initial thoughts were also some sort of excretion from a dog.
