best cars to invest in?
Discussion
what do you reckon? and i mean hypercars e.g carrera gt, enzo, f40, koeniggsegg (that sort of car), that hopefully will make money rather then stay linear/depreciate in value
as ive already said a few, i reckon one to watch is the SLR, seems its hit the floor, i reckon they are going up............

None of those make any sense as investments though... you can't title a thread as 'best cars to invest in' and then limit it to only the bad cars!Hypercars tend to retain their value well for a year or two, then plummet dramatically once the newer model comes out, then level off until they are noticed by the classic collectors when prices slowly start to rise again. That means you have a good 30 years to wait before they start appreciating.

oh ok - Well id say most have already hit their peak.
Ferrari F40 will prob cost about £1m now so prob wont go up much.
Same goes for the Mclaren F1.
Not sure about a Jag XJ220.
Not a hyper car but what about an original AC Cobra?
Maybe a Limited Ed Zonda has the the potential to increase its value in time. If you can afford the £20pa servicing?

agree on all of that except the f40, they are more like 300k ish atm, good shout on the AC cobra, even though it isnt a hypercar now, it was the best by far in its day, and so iconic! didnt they do an advert/challege when the car was first released? where they put an 100 dollar bill on the dash, and said if you can reach it while accelerating you can have it!Ferrari F40 will prob cost about £1m now so prob wont go up much.
