Hi Guys,

Need a little help with a project car. The car is a classic that I and a team are bringing to life.

It never had an alarm (as its from the 50's) and I want to get a decent alarm thats not too complicated. Below is a list of things that would be 'good' but they are not all 'must have'. Does anyone have any thoughts, comments or advice?

Push start
remote start
tracking + text notifications if moved
central locking (if possible with the current locks)
all the usual sensors
Auto headlights when locking and unlocking if possible? Does anyone know of a auto headlight kit?

Thanks,

Stu

Given your stipulations, you'll struggle to find anything 'not too complicated', let alone anyone who would be willing to fit it to a 60 year old Merc!

Can't really help you with the alarm but it sounds like a great project. Post some pics when you're finished.

Well I'm having the loom re-done, so I want to get all this stuff wired in from the get go. It doesnt need all those bits... but they'd be fun/nice.

The car is still a fair way off, but yes it is that one on my profile. I have been updateing this site with pics of progress for those interested http://www.esserworks.com/project_190sl.htm

Having said that, we have now put in the floor pans and pedal floors... so its coming along slowly.

Having taken it back so far, and the fact I'm getting a new loom made, I dont want to find that 'oh i should have put that alarm in instead' pops into my head frown
