Being sold as having 240bhp!

Any potential buyers please note the engine is NOT the more powerful black top beams (RS200) it's the AS200 straight six variant which only puts out 160bhp!

Dropped a note to the seller but just in case anyone here was thinking of buying it I thought I'd best post this.

Cheers

Todd

PS, this is what the more powerful engine looks like

An IS200 that isn't gutless?

Would be a hell of a car. Wonder why we never got it in the UK?

IIRC we got the IS300, same body, same engine just in a higher state of tune pushing about 220bhp.

Seems a bit strange that there is a Lexus badge on the front.

Not quite, engine was a 3ltr in the IS300 not the 2ltr found in the IS200, hence the extra power wink

Because in the UK it was sold as the Lexus IS - that's just an imported one. I guess the previous owner wanted it to look like a standard UK car from the outside.

Even the RS200 only has 210bhp.

Is the RS200 a 2.0 four with 210bhp? Kind of interesting....

Ah yes, my mistake, the IS300 is the same engine as in the N/A Supra, hence my random confusion

IS200 Sport sounds like a nice car, LSD, loads of kit, Lexus reliability!

Yes, the auto comes with a 5speed box running 200 with the manual getting an extra 10.
