is this bush ****ed?
Discussion
ive been pressing some new bushes into the rear subframe of my E46. all going well. then after doing the last main bush i look under it and see this:

it seems that i couldn't have had the metal pipe quite in the right place and has squashed the bush when being pressed.
so will this be fine?, or am i going to have to go the the trouble of removing it and fitting another?
i definatly can't see it coming back out, so can anyone see any reason why i should replace it?
cheers,
matt

You'll be ok there, thats just part of a locating lip, and the structural bits are deeper in.
As there isn't a lot of movement at that point, i wouldn't worry about it. If it was a training arm bush, i would expect it to be more of a problem, but i wouldn't worry about that personally

Replace. You'll only end up with a weird knocking noise in 1000 miles as it loads badly and gets progressively worse.
How much is a bush? £30?
I agree, it is cheaper to replace the part now (in terms of time you could spend doing something else) than when you have to do it in a few thousand miles if you have crushed it more than the exterior damage suggests. Just my 2p.How much is a bush? £30?
