No not the R26R sadly, I plan to put things in the boot. hehe

When I leave uni in 3 years I'll have done a work placement year(part of the course) and in theory have a bit of spare cash flying around so I'm wanting to by then chuck in the Corsa and replace it something with more shove!

Got looking through the classified and I for some reason I started looking at Renaulsports, unusual because I'm more of a V8 man. Came across this, were they any good? http://pistonheads.com/sales/1672640.htm

Insurance ain't bad, 4 years no claims equals about £1300 fully comped, though I expect that to rise frown

They are respected among the petrol head community, personally if you want a French car I'd go for the 197 over the megane!

Dynamically good but you have to put up with a terrible interior. In three years time you'll probably not want a six year old Renault!

Yeah interior is horrible but the pro's massively out weigh the cons in my eyes, best colour as well !

i own a 20k mile 225 Megane.
interior is fairly poor, cheap plastics and ergonomically poor. Mines the lux pack, so comes with nicer seats, but you sit too high, and the seats have poor lumbar support.
the 2.0 4 banger is dull and not exactly refined, but once past 2.5k miles really pushes on!
mpg is good at around 32mpg, servicing cheap and tyres at 115 ea fitted.
what really disappointed me was the handling, little in the way of feedback through the steering, terrible 6 speed 'box and over servo'd brakes.

we picked ours up for less than 4.5k so represents brill VFM, but we got family discount.
i'm not 'up to date' with any similar cars, but i was mildly disappointed in a 'driver orientated car'.

Cheers for the info guys! Looking at Clio 200's, seeing as depreciation will kick in they should be moderately affordable! hehe
