Hi, does anyone know if you can get mechanical breakdown insurance for a car registered in 1995? I know you can get it for cars upto 10 years old with the AA but does anyone provide it for older cars?

Thanks, 8UF

You are going to be looking at a very high premium or very poor cover if you are looking for MBI on a 15 year old motor. Would be cheeper to part ex and get a newer car I think.

Not really it's only about £30 a year more for a car over 10 years old with the AAs breakdown repair cover (used to be called parts and labour cover years ago)

Hi there, I work for the AA and saw your post. Can I invite you to call us on 0800 587 5856 where we will be more than happy to clarify the cover and hopefully provide you with the appropriate service to suit your needs.
