car recomendation around £3000

I know you probs get this all the time but I'm looking for some recomendations of cars around £3000.
My list of "would likes" are as follows
rear wheel or 4 wheel drive,
decent speed (0-60 in under 9seconds)
respectable ecconomy when not being ragged about
the only "must have" is reliabilty, I'm only looking because my C2 that I've had from new for almost 6 years and just screaming with gremlins so I want something that takes less to maintain.
just so you know I have a MR2 MK1 that's currently restoring so the Aw11 is not really an option.
I do like the BMW 3 series, not sure about what engine yet, the celica GT four, and possibly something like a supra or MK1 MX5. I life car from 70s-mid 90's but age isn't really something that I'm fussed on just fun, relibility and some that I actually like.
