It's not a sports car.
It's not that high.

Depends entirely on how it has been driven and maintained.

It also depends on what you think is acceptable in maintainance terms.

Its not just the engine that wears its all the other bits from turbo, diffs etc

Most people seem to think that 130k is the 'new 100k' IE its hard to sell a car over 130k these days IME.

Both my previous imprezas were at 124k+ miles before crash damage took them out of the equation, both were also still running strong.

These engines can only cope with 100,000 miles. With these sports cars you will need a new engine as soon as it reaches 100,001 miles. Will give you a good price for scrap wink

Honest answer: if it's been looked after, then it can run on to 150,000+ miles. Trouble is that Imprezas tend to live very hard lives and die young - so check carefully what you're buying. Plus - they're not sports cars. I've always called them rally cars but then again I coined that phrase when I was 12 smile

PH answer: I think it's 131072 miles, personally.

edit: how can I misspell Impreza?

Big ends go, clutches don't last and turbos can die.

Just be aware you could be in for big bills. And if it has been tuned by some monkey who wears a kappa tracksuit and a baseball cap walk away now.

If it's owned by one walk away. Usually blatently evident from the abysmal advert littered with 'z's and poor spelling. Take a browse on ebay if you think I'm joking...

As if finding a decent Impreza that hasn't been abused to within an inch of it's life wasn't hard enough eh...

My old man recently sold his 'teardrop headlight' 2003 WRX with more than 130,000 miles on it. It was still running fine to the best of my knowledge.
