Got a second call from these guys, using a mobile, saying I am able to get compensation for my accident, even if I had a pain for 5 minutes over the past 2 months, I can get £3,000 from my insurance company!! Who apparently set aside £XX for this exact situation!!

Then I said I had no pains, and have no interest in claiming extra money which is undue. Saying its because of you thieves that all premiums are sky rocketing! They pursued asking if my passenger was injured, I said no, but they called him anyway!! Who said very similar things.

Cant believe these guys still exist!

My Nephew's car was reversed into in a supermarket car park, while he was shopping.

He got similar phone calls for ages afterwards!

I've had similar. Was rear ended at a junction, extremely low speed collision. Several calls basically trying to encourage me to claim injuries that I don't have. s.

Prob from a back hander to the call centre jockies who know who's had a claim.

My brother got knocked off his motorbike a while ago and his mobile was ringing off the hook within 12hours of the accident. All from scum trying to get him to claim.

Have you seen how much some the legal costs for these claims are? You may get £5k if you are lucky, they'll be collecting many times that from the loser's insurance co.

No wonder companies(and Councils)throw money at them to go away. It's cheaper.

Bingo Forum Ninja!

Or referrals from repairers

As for solicitors costs, under the predictable fee (for cases where the losses are valued between £1000-5000) scheme solicitors will get £800 plus 20% of the value of the damages they've dealt with, plus in some cases an After the Event premium is paid which is about another £400, plus maybe an additional 12.5% Success Fee, plus if in London a further 12.5 % London weighting, plus disbursements like £300 for a medical report etc.

The solicitor will also be able to claim a referral fee of their own for using their own panel of medical agencies and treatment providers.

Foolishly I forgot to ask where they got my details!

The guy called me back later in the day, I said to him I want to sue my best mate, who was my passenger, because he caused the accident by punching me in the face while I was driving, for no reason,(he didnt obviously) so how much can I sue him for.....

Then he called my mate, who said he wanted to sue me for causing emotional distress to him and for my face causing damage to his hand....

Both of us suing for £100,000 each.

Then suddenly occurred to the guy we may be messing him around! Where my friend decided to inform him he was sat in front of me during both phone calls.

The guy quickly disappeared off the phone! haha
