MOT.Advise please!

Hi during an MOT, are the condition of Trackrod end rubber dust cover(s) a failure ?
I intend to change them very soon anyhow, even though there is no 'play' in the joints.
But time is tight !

if there is no play it should just be an advise. It is up to the tester though.

It's not really up to the tester, if there's no excessive play then it's a pass and advise whatever the state of the cover.
