Is it just me, or does that site just not cut the mustard anymore. It's awkward to use. If your browsing and use for e.g pistonheads, it's easy as its all on one page. A few years back autotrader was my first choice, but now it's pistonheads. What other sites are there?

I agree. It's pretty poor.

Pistonheads is better but I would sometimes like a better filter when looking for specific stuff. maybe Engine Capacity, that sort of thing, when trying to distinguish between different models of the same car.

Good grief man, we have a 100+ page thread whinging about autotrader knocking around here somewhere - has been going for yonks.

I find the site quite glitchy at times, they need to get rid of all the animation etc and go back to basics.

I generally use PH, autotrader and ebay.

Depends on your browsing style- I prefer Autotrader

- can set up email alerts
- Can sort all ads including by age if do email alert setup (PH is sorted within premium/not premium which means guessing where the non-premium start)
- can search within the ad not just the title
- can filter much more e.g. auto/non auto

I've raised it before on website feedback section and been advised on its way but nothing dome yet- PH needs to improve its flexibility.

And fast. Come on PH chaps - Autotrader have delivered themselves unto you by pissing off huge wedges of their market. Other classifieds sites are starting to pop up - makeandmodel.co.uk springs to mind. Proper filtering, better geographic and full-text searching, iPhone app, job done, goodnight, we love you.
