Ok slightly baiting title tongue out but as a follow on to all the RWD talk I thought it'd be interesting to see how many PH'er's started out in a non FWD vehicle compared to those that did?

Logic would suggest that the slightly more mature PH'er will have had greater exposure to RWD due to the number of such vehicles when compared to the newbs among us.

For instance, I'm only 30. Yet I managed to own 6 cars before owning a FWD one.

EDIT: Multiselect is on for the Poll, as most people should have more than one answer!

I started out with FWD and now have one FWD and one RWD, I like both and certainly wouldn't dismiss a car simply because of its driven wheels.

Yes, it's a pity that the OP doesn't manage to appreciate the merits of the various alternatives. Like so many on here these days.

Don't care as long as it's fun TBH. Have had examples of all. Each fun in their own way.

RWD (on 48Rs) best for dry weather IME. 4WD more fun in the wet than in the dry. FWD - a good balance of both.

My last few cars have been rwd, but I've certainly driven some cracking fwd motors in my time.

Started in FWD, moved to RWD and will never go back, there is no way I would buy a FWD car now.

Poll is flawed, there is no "I don't care which wheels are driven" option.

Me neither, I'm a huge fan of cars like the original Mini, DC2 ITR and R53 MINI CS. smile

So exactly how do you figure that and where did I say such a thing?

you dont but what you are about to experience on this thread is a bunch of FWDFanboi's that have either never owned RWD cars or crapped themselves at the sight of a bend. Truth be told you are about to hear from scaredy cats that have never actually properly tried RWD so will all argue that FWD is just as good, faster etc

BRB I have to go trim my chest hair and fire up the v8 just to wake the neighbours

Have one of each. Don't really push either to their full extent, and therefore don't notice much difference, other than the Saab tourqe steers, the MB tramlines.

I was a little too you to go the mk2 Escort route so did the XR2 route before seeing the light. Saying that in 35 cars I've probably had 27 fwd cars.

Where's the "I'm a car fan" option?

Anyway, started RWD, still have RWD (x2) and a FWD which is shortly to be replaced with another FWD.

Multiselect - as in tick as many or as few as you like. Kinda thought it was obvious....
