I've had an email from a chap in Holland who spotted these two cars, asking if I know what they are:

Well I'm all out of ideas, so I turn to the infinite wisdom of PH (!) in search of an answer...

Ferrari specials of some sort perhaps. There are hints of P3/P4 and Bizarrinni in there (to my untrained eye).

2 one looks like it's somewhere between a Ferrari and a Jaguar with the arse end of an AC.

First one some sort of Ford GT40 tribute? I dunno, they look to me like low-volume specials, hand built in some guy's well-tooled shed. Very pretty ones though, not shonky looking at all.

I await correction though.

Top one looks like a Dulon LD6 GT. Not sure on the bottom one yet.

Hi,

I'm the chap from Holland who has asked for the posting of these pics. I am grateful for all attempts at identifying them. I felt the urge to register and respond!

I came across a few names I have thought of as well: Chevron, GT40-ish, Lola. Porsche 904 has crossed my mind as well and someone suggested Piper. The Healey SR was a nice guess. I'd never seen it before and was surprised to see such a car from the factory where the 3000s and Sprites were built.

But I have solved the first car!!! (Thanks for the cookie!).

It is a British-built car from which just a few (I think some 3) were built.
We found a picture of the same car photographed at the same event, but with a large info sheet placed against the nose. It was a low-resolution image and the info was hardly readable. We guessed the make started with an N, it was a short name and we thought it ended with a D... Still it cost me a few hours to find out...
It is a Nomad Mk.1 from 1967, an original car that is currently owned in Germany. Find out more about this car here: http://www.williamsandpritchardregister.co.uk/noma...

The second car still is a mystery... The emblem looks a bit like a Tojeiro, but could not find the exact car yet... And maybe it is something completely different!

I have another car from which I would very much like to know what it is. As soon as I have found out how to put it online, I will post it here!

All the best and thanks a lot!
Job

Thanks for clearing the top one up, I spent a daft amount of time going through Le Mans entry lists trying to work out what it might be. To be honest I wouldn’t have got the answer this side of Christmas, more thought can now be applied to the second one

It's certainly not a Porsche 904 or 908: There was a time when I worshipped 904s and 908s and knew every curve intimately cloud9

The second cars looks almost early Jag racecar escque, maybe pre D-type?

Evo ran a kit race car that looked very similar aswell, but the name of it escapes me. I think its was a year and a half to two years ago that I saw it in the fast fleet section. (maybe longer....)

You're thinking of the Westfield XI - a kit Lotus 11 and it's not that.

Is it me or am I right in saying if you can't see the images, links don't help? Or is that just a work blocking images problem... wink

I can't see the pictures in the post but the links work fine; Some kind of Thumbsnap bug I believe.
