It's Not A Wrap - It's BMW's Frozen Black

New pics of M3 Coupe with Competition Pack and matte finish

Isn't the whole matte black thing a bit, er, last year? BMW would beg to differ, having just issued these pictures of its latest M3 Coupe with Competition Pack painted in newly available 'Frozen Black'.

It looks hard as nails, doesn't it? And we bet it's a damn sight easier to keep clean than the lustrous shiny black we specified for the PistonHeads long-term BMW M6, also with Competition Pack, and supplied with a finish that seems to provide the perfect backdrop to highlight every bit of dirt and grime. And don't talk to us about cats paw-prints. (Did you know you can't buy air rifles on eBay? Ed.)

Back to the M3 though, and in case you missed it the Competition Pack adds niceties like suspension lowered by an extra 10mm, extra-light alloys, modified sport mode for the electronic damping, plus a carbon front spoiler and apron flaps. I saw a Lambo LP560-4 in a satin grey the other day - pretty sure it wasn't a wrap. Looked amazing.
