I read that ASDA dropped there Unleaded to 115.9 a litre yesterday and today Morrisons have responded and the price is 113.9 a litre. Diesel remains at 118.9.

I dont know if its nationwide yet, i would expect it to be but the queue's down here in Bristol are rediculous!

Let the price war begin, hopefully Tesco's and Sainsburys joining in. Would be nice if Shell follow suit.

Cheers
Jay

The local Shell here (Yate) dropped 2 or 3p per litre off the other day to match Morrisons, but only at 120.9p.

I almost fainted at the site of the price actually going down!

Guess the drop in the price of oil helps.

I just paid 112.9 at my tesco. But I used a 5p off voucher to get it to that. Still, I'm not complaining.

Grrr, just filled up at 120.9 yesterday and off on holiday for 10 days. This goddam war better still be on in a month's time!

I pulled into a petrol station on Monday, and started putting fuel in (BP 97) only to realise at the £30 mark that it was costing me £1.30 per litre <gulp>...

That'll teach me not to check the price first...

Compare and contrast the exchange rate for USD/GBP then and now.
Understand that oil is bought and sold in USD.
Then you'll understand why there is little difference between then and now.

All these price cuts will be wiped out when the new shower in No.10 put up VAT by 2.5%!!
oil price now has very little to do with price at the pump, robbing bcensoredd govt take most of the price.

OPPPPPPPS I never thought of that
i think when oil was 150 a barrel we were close to 2/1 on the exchange
good fact
