Does the Audi A5 attract "That Sort"
Discussion
Was riding my pushbike last night, making the most of the weather and minding my own, on a country B road and an A5 of some ilk went past, very close at a fair old speed, scared the life out of me, I had hi viz on, on a bright red bike, well in on a very straight road with good viasibility so it was either designed to scare me or just being an ignorant tosser, I have been riding a fair while and its only the second time that has happened.
Calm down, get near home and a grey A5 is parked completely on the pavement making it impassable on a blind corner, a mum and two small kids walking into the road to get around it, not the busiest road but busy enough for it to be inadvisable to walk along it with two kids in tow.
Have seen other minor transgressions but the two in five minutes made me wonder, anyone else noticed similar ?

yes, that is true but all cars are not equal when it comes to how they are driven, they are a nice car and I wouldnt have posted if I hadnt been buzzed at probably 80 mph then saw one parked obstructing a footpath.

I think it's more the company car thing
holes, generalisation like this proves nothing, I ride a bike and drive an A5, I dont go round cutting cyclists up when in the car... Whenever a particular model becomes the sought after models for company cars you will see a lot more of them hence it appears to happen more often, leading to the stereotype
I am sure there is a 'It's not my car why should I give a f
k' aspect to it as wellJ4CKO said:

Nah, RS4 drivers are generally well behaved, well they were but seem to be getting some "Gangsta" type owners of late.martin
Take that back, you bad person who makes love to his mother, else I'm going to have to put, er, a cap, or something, in your posterior, or something. hell yeah!

I agree with that. All the popular company cars (e.g. audi a3/a5, ford mondeo, volkswagen passat, bmw 3 series/5 series) are so common on the roads, you tend to notice the poor driving associated with those makes/models. As a company car owner myself, i would also say its the "its not my car" attitude as well. Not that i am like that ofcourse! However, all audi's seem to be driven extremely poorly, and not just company car ones.champ54321 said:
I've seen plently of horrific driving from people driving old cheap cars.... does this mean that all poor people are w
kers?? No, its just as stupid as the generalisation you've made.

kers, but it does mean that everyone with a cheap old car driving horrifically is a w
ker. Which is what the OP is asking, does the A5 attract more w
kers than you'd expect. I wouldn't say so personally. A3 definitely, but not the A5. The absolute king of 'w
ker cars' has to be the Passat. I instantly assume anyone with one is going to be a prick, and it's up to them to prove otherwise. I believe what we're discussing is now referred to as the "car to cock ratio" which is the ratio of cars on the road, against the percentage that are being driven by cocks.
Most of the Audi range now has a large "car to cock ratio", the cocks seem to have migrated out of their company car BMW's over the past few years.
