What car is this?

Like to share your opinion? Then please do.

A mate photographed this pink thing while visiting Kiev, in the Ukraine. It appears to have lots of aftermarket plastic. It appears to be a cabriolet or soft-top targa (although one can't be sure, and it might have been made this way by the owner).

Here's where you can help:

- My mate believes that the original car is a Corvette

- I believe that the original car is Japanese (probably Mitsubishi or Nissan)

Help us determine what this car is. If you have an opinion, we'd like to hear it. Thank you.

Mirrors are wrong for an 88 vette. Roofline wrong for targa-top Supra. Bonnet too long for FTO. Cabin looks smallish, like jap rather than yank.

I first though "bastardised Viper".

First thought it was Mitsubishi GTO .. now not sure.

XJS with an XK8 style front end. The windscreen and mirrors aren't right for an XK, but they do resemble its older brethren.
