Good call.

Also any of the TVR prototypes (AJP Grifff etc.) and possibly the MG EX1 or whatever it was called that was proposed before the MGF - looked a bit like a baby XJ220 if memory serves me right. The Porsche 924 estate would have been good, and on a similar note, I'd quite like a Porsche 944 Turbo chassis with a nice compact 300-or-so bhp V6 in the nose and a retrimed 'square dash' style interior, but that's entering the realms of fantasy...

That looks like a short wheelbase Evora but I suspect it is what the Europa was supposed to be.

Jaguar XJ Spider:

IMO Jaguar should have replaced (or at least rebodied) the XJS for the '80s. It hung around far too long.

Oh, and this:

Aston Martin Bulldog. Would've given Britain an answer to the Lamborghini Countach in the '80s. And this twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 monster:

Could've been the British 288 GTO.

If we are allowed to include cars that actually managed to get to low volume manufacture, and should have been made much for available, then I would love to have one of these:

A bit 'asthmatic' in its DeLorean guise though? About 150hp iirc. Not good in a heavy car with mostly auto boxes.frown

Alpine specialists can refit and retune them for better performance with a turbocharger. Problem is that stainless steel body - not only is it heavy, it buggers up the weight distribution, exacerbating the rearward weight bias.

MG EXE.

No idea how good it would have been, but it looks cool. Saw the only (i think) remaining prototype at Gaydon motor museum a few years ago.
