Its all changing..........anyone who has been using a transponder for French peage and paying by auto debit on their CC will now have to submit their bank detail for future billing, a letter is been issued soon (basically too much CC scamming going on). In the mean time during this transition period its not possible to acquire a transposed with out a French bank account. At some point the system will encompass foreign banks, but could be a while.

I presume existing users aren't affected by this straight away?

Thats a pain. Mine goes to my UK bank account anyway, but I'm guessing thats because its doing it through my debit card.

I applied and got one only two months ago. It was used earlier this month without issue too. Fingers crossed it still works for Le Mans.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks' time whether it still works...!!

Incidentally, does anyone know the price of super unleaded in France at the moment?

There was a thread on this last week. Seemed to vary from 1.40Euro to 1.70Euro.

I just tried mine and couldn't access with my usual password. I tried 5 times and they locked the account and emailed me with a password reset.

Set up a new password and all is fine again.

No messages on the site regarding any change to payment arrangements nor have I had any emails from Sanef mentioning it - they email fairly often with offers, tariff info etc

Excellent just reached the five failed attempts to log on and got the link to change my password. Password changed and all working fine now. Just need to find a local french speaker to phone up and update my credit card details intime for the LM classic (if of course they accept the new details!).

That'll be nice for them. They can set up loads of speed traps and automatically debit the fines from your account before you get home. . . . . . .

They do have English speakers there. I rang to change my transponder (it was 5 years old and at that age the internal battery often fails)and had no problem sorting it out.

I played with the forms enough to submit our credit card details to them yesterday and got a "success" page. No confirmation yet and I doubt we'll get one. Looks like we may have to buy one at the road side on the way down.

Also we can't get through their telephone/IVR system to actually speak to anybody (let alone somebody I could actually parley with), it was just robots all the way down that rabbit hole.
