Stolen Civic Type R - Red - Leeds

Hi, last night my mates red Civiv Type R was stolen from Leeds, the number plate is DG02 YHO if you happen to see it anywhere please contact the police and let them know where it was etc. Please also contact me and I'll pass on the info to my mate ASAP.

I really hope you guys can help, I know it's not the rarest car and it's not the rarest colour but if it's distinctive enough for you to have a double take then please help

He bought the car only like two week ago from the PH classifieds.

Where abouts in Leeds was it taken from?

I don't live in Leeds myself so I don't know the areas and I've not been able to speak to him so I don't have details just yet. If it was at home he lives near all the students since that's where he knows from when he was a student, if it was where he works it's a company called "Azure" I think that's the spelling, but I have no clue where that is.

Thanks for having an open eye, I feel so sorry for him he has his S3 for over a year with no trouble, the Type R for 2 weeks and it's gone

Bump for the sake of justice?

A car being stolen within a short space of time of purchase, smacks of the person who sold it to you, stealing it back with a spare key.

Big thumbs up to Laam for posting this, and the guys who have replied so far, it was my car that was stolen.

It was taken from the Hyde Park/Woodhouse area (big surprise) of Leeds between 20:00 and 02:00 on Tuesday night.

They keys were taken on a hook through an window left ajar behind a metal cage. The keys were about 10 ft away from the window so they must've used quite some pole to get them out.

I appreciate my chances of getting back are pretty slim, but if anyone does happen to see it could they let me or the police know?

Might be a bit naive of me but I didn't realise how much getting your car knicked screws you over. Losing your no claims and not getting enough money back to pay for the same car again is pretty hard to swallow right now

Just an update for you all.

Someone has admitted to the theft, they're already in prison so I suppose justice is kind of done. The car has not been found and I doubt will be.

Good result but I bet he wants to get rid of it now. Was there a link to the previous owner as was suggested above?

don't think there was any link. Oh well Carey now has a Bora while he sirts out the claim and decides what car to get next, he's thinking either an e30 or e36 as 3 of us have challenged each other to make a track car each, when it's done all will be posted on here.
