Is there a number that you can text a car reg for free and they send you details of the car?

I seem to recall someone doing it but i cant find the number anywhere, besides one that costs £3.

Just make, model, colour, transmission - nothing complicated like insurance details.

I don't have anything specific, its just useful sometimes to find out info about specific cars.

I don't have an iphone but where is that app found? I googled it, it seems like you still have to pay for searches?

Mycarcheck is the app title.

Alternatively use the home page of Autotrader there is an HPI check there where the first stage is free.

Top tip ta. will see if the App will work on an iPod Touch as I have a work Pda (non apple).

cheers for that. I had it on my Audi RS6 and took it off and sold it (god knows why) but didnt know what the guy chucked it on so that answers that.
