best car for 7K??

Right time is coming up for a new car and looking or suggestions!
I currently run a tuned GT6 and an E36 325i, really I think I want to get something like the bm but with abit more excitment and speed that I can use everyday (have a business car so will only be used for personal use)
Initialy I was after a TVR Chimaera but a change in insurance no takes off any limits I had before!
So fancyin and M3 or possibly even an M5? Maybe an E46 330i? Preferably something that will hold its value well too.
Any other suggestions guys? Must be round about 7-8K max and rwd
