RE: Driven: Ferrari 599 GTO

Sutters, great article.
It seems this is truly a great car, notwithstanding the hollow O. If its the fastest Ferrari around the track, well, in terms of performance, that says it all really.
Saw the Autocar Video on this car recently, and OH-MY-GOD, this thing sounds like nothing else, the noise that V12 emits is just sooo emotive,so magnificent!! Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Mercedes,(inc. Zonda) eat your hearts out! And yes I have omitted Porsche from this group, regardless of the upcoming GT2 RS, because I know that the sound of that flat 6 is simply not going to be able to compete with the sound of the other V12's mentioned here.
I can see why Ferrari do not advertise or market their cars through the usual methods used by other manufacturers, including Porsche, because cars from Maranello speak for themselves, and this version of the 599 seems to be the epitome of this philosophy. That engine alone is worth 300k and it probably is the best value Ferrari that is out there at the moment.
I feel sad that:
1. They are all sold; and
2. I can't afford one at the moment in any event
Work bloody hard, if this fails, pray to the almighty, cross the fingers, touch wood etc, win the lottery, and one day I hope I get to experience ownership of this car...
