I was wondering if anyone could help, my missis has hit a Ford S-Max's wing mirror (on a 57 plate). Is there any way of finding out the paint code from the number plate? Its GF57WHT

What you gonna do? Leave a pot of touch-up paint and a note under the wiper arm? hehe

generally located under the bonnet or on the door shut. there should be a metal plate with chassis number, tyre pressures, towing weight etc and paint code smile

Sort of. Occasionally we get cars in where the paint code sticker has been damaged or removed. If we ring the service/parts department, quote the VIN number (which they can likely look up from the number plate) and explain that we're looking for a colour code for a customer vehicle, most dealerships will be helpful and give you what they have on their computer for it.

In the very rare instance that the vehicle has had a colour-change respray, this won't help you. But it won't hurt to ring the local Ford dealership and ask...
