Yes yes it's not the winter. But in all the OMG snow where can I get a 4x4 threads 1 car was held up as the Holy Grail of cheap small commuter 4x4 driving.

Wow, must be a rare car, I guess its very good in the snow.

I bought just this week, a Golf 2.0GT TDi 4motion, which I thought was quite a rare thing and was probably like hens teeth in January.

See this was why I was punting about on e-bay. Thinking I could "risk" £500 on a rubbish 4x4 in the summer. And flog it for £1000 when everybody go's mad in the winter and will buy anything with 4 driven wheels. Worst that could happen is I go mad and start enjoying a bit of "off roading" in the summer and lose £500. The panda not ideal for that...but some of those Suzukis are looking attractive...

I spotted that too hehe

I've owned a few of em before, always the Sizley versions with the suede trim & canoe emblems on them. Great fun little cars especially off road & in the snow. Just the tinworm on them can be quite bad.

If you have the room to keep it all year, its worth having just to get you out of trouble on the few occasions when you cant drive a "normal" car.

Where I live, Biggin Hill (the clue is in the name) all of the roads in and out of the area have very steep gradients, and pretty much only 4x4's could get out on a couple of occasions last winter.

Having said all that, you can bet your bottom Dollar that if you bought it, we wont see snow again for 5 years plus.
