whats the point in this company?

was involved in accident, not at fault.

this company just rang on behalf of the body shop reading me a load of terms and conditions and he was FSA registered starting ringing alarms bells.

seems a complex way of obtaining a hire car whilst ours is repaired?

especially when all they are going to do is replace a rear door (its a van)

any thoughts?

He has to be FSA regulated as he will be offering you an insurance policy.

when did a car hire after an accident become so difficult?

When "like for like" became available and the costs involved are very high.

"like for like"? its a little works van!

am i worrying about nothing?

ive never come across credit hire before.

noted the last accident when someone ran in back of the van was a month ago.

we have same insurance and the same body shop doing the job.

yet at a hire car just turned up.

You are worrying about nothing.

They may ask you to £15ish for a policy to cover you for the hire charges just in case other side disputes.
