A Range Rover V8 passed the house earlier, was Overfinch badged, although diesel I have to say it did sound very nice.

Just wondering if a diesel can in fact sound good?

First one for me..

It was probably a Rover V8 petrol, then.

The only decent sounding diesels were in Dorniers and Deltics.

Twisted Performance make a TD5 Defender sound very nice...

Sure sounds better than any of the smaller diesels on offer from VAG/BMW/Merecedes.

So very nearly bought the company L332. Wrong colour for me. Shame.

Definitely was too loud to be safe. Loved it though.

The 2 best sounding diesels I've ever heard are:

Twiglove's GMC Truck with 4" Flo Pro straight through pipes on it.

Or whilst at LeMans 24hr standing in the pits and hearing the diesel Audi Lmp 1's

Oddest thing at Lemons. Sounded like a whisper.

Jag XF Diesel S isnt bad.. not great mind but a nice subtle growl under load.

About as good as cars fueled by the devil get imo.
