HPI Result Unclear - What should I do?

You're fine, the previous owner of the bmw has swapped it for the merc which he bought on finance and transferred his plate onto.

I've had this situation worry one of my clients this week, I had to put his mind at ease.

To be honest I don't know why they bother showing that info on the hpi as it has no real relavence.
