I hate football, however I would imagine I will be out in town on the Saturday so no drive for me!

Hence why those of you you aren't interested in it can go have a good hoon wavey

Those of us that like football will have to patiently wait for another member of the Royal Family to kick the bucket so that the roads will be nice and quiet (ala Princess Diana's funeral) driving

Really, with a major football championship on every 2 years or so we are doing a great service to you non-footballing pistonheaders! biggrin

Was thinking the same thing. Roll on Saturday evening and empty roads!

I'll hopefully be picking my car up Saturday from it's service and shall make full use of the 'hopefully' empty roads whilst everyone else watches the football.

Just imagine if they get to the final. Even non football fans will watch it. The roads will fall silent.

Except for me wink

I wish Rugby was more popular so when the England team does well I could "make use" of the empty roads frown

I'm a big footie fan, wouldn't miss a tournament like this.

Best thing for people like us is go out after 2am+

Oh hell yes!

On saturday, there will be a number of PHers in some very tasty cars going on a day long hoon somewhere in central Europe smile

I'm pretty sure it will be worth the 6 am wakeup call and 2 tanks of super unleaded...

I personally want England to bomb straight out of the World Cup.

The shaven headed lager swilling mouth breathers that form the majority of our representation abroad are already embarrassing enough - just imagine how insufferable and awful it would be if they won?

Every resort the world over would echo to the sound of drunken, chanting, football be-shirted morons screaming "Engurlaaaand!" and "Two World Wars and Two World Cups" etc etc! It's 44 years since the last time and they still never shut up about it - it would be insufferable if they were to ever win again frown

Shame really, as I'd like to see them win - however the general public simply won't be able to cope.

I was thinking down to the petrol station at 7.15pm and head out at 7.30 - apart from old people rolleyes it should be reasonably quiet. Hopefully even plod will be glued to the screens to be bothered with checking the roads biggrin
