Saw a person hit by a truck laying motionless on the road; covered over by the police with a blanket frown

I guess the transit sized flatbed could not have been going that fast either as it was in town.

Horrible feeling.

That person was walking, talking, living just moments before and that was the end for them, over in just a few moments frown

Yep. Life's a bh. Get drunk tonight, go out for a meal, take stock of what you've got.

Sorry to hear mate frown

I had a similar thing happen outside my house once, took me a few days to shake the odd feeling off. As said, sit down, have a drink, see a loved one.

Yes, will do!

I'm OK, just makes you realise how fragile we are compared to the things we are so passionate about (our cars).

The worst accident I have seen was really horrific, I'll never forget seeing a headless body siting up inside a car that had gone under the back of a car transporter and taken the roof and drivers head off - made me feel so hurl

I was thinking the same.

As morbid as it may be, I often watch bad crashes on youtube to keep myself in check on the road.

ETA: The government should run a few of them on prime time telly to show people how fast it can go wrong when you're near the limit.

I recall seeing the remnants of a car that got sandwiched between two others on the M40, fatal it turned out. Pretty horrible to see it, I couldn't tell you what the car was. The firefighter picking the door off the central reservation is a moment I doubt I'll forget in a hurry.

RIP.

Now the 'jokes' are out of the way, shall we keep it on topic?

My ex was on her way to work a few months ago and she was 1st on the scene of a young woman who had hit a bus head on and her car was inside the front of the bus. She thought the girl had been killed but she kept her company and kept talking to her until an air ambulance arrived. The girl had very serious injuries and was in a coma for quite a while but survived and is doing OK now.

These are rare occurences thank God!

So rare that you or your (ex) loved ones have seen three recently?! I'm staying away from you.

I saw a nasty accident in Putney SW London this morning about 8:15am. Didn't see what happened, but there was an ambulance and two paramedic cars there and someone lying on the pavement getting their heart massaged. Always makes you take it easy when you see stuff like that.
