I'd go for one of these transponder units.
No extra effort by you once fitted, just keep the spare key and transponder separate (in case someone nicks your spare keys).
Discloks and the like are great but you can be sure that the day you're in a rush and don't fit it, some pikey will nick your car!!

Well, do the obvious visible stuff, as suggested above.
For a bit leftfield, if you know an auto electrician, a fuse or relay, wired into the ignition, LT or glowplug circuit, with the base hidden inside the vehicle.
You merely pull the fuse or relay when you leave it.
There is also, although I've not seen it advertised recently, a replacement battery positive terminal with a "key" which you remove for security.

Thanks guys, will definitely be aquiring a diskloc for it
Some form of hidden switch for the battery is another plan, gotta do alot of wiring so will set one of those up too.
Got both of these plus Gemini alarm/immobiliser on the Astra. Tbh, the security stuff's worth more than the car by some margin

As others have said though, it doesn't matter how desirable or what have you it is, if it can be nicked, it WILL be nicked.

Disklok
It's quite easy to put on despite the size, and it seems to do well in thatcham tests and the like.
This. The Pac Man protector of cars. It's quite easy to put on despite the size, and it seems to do well in thatcham tests and the like.
I have had one for 18 months now, and the car has survived being in the city centre of Swansea ever since.
It was the only thing that stopped scrotes trying to nick my Nova GSi 20 years ago. Despite it being bell'd and immobilised up to the 9's before I put the disklock on, they still tried it on a regular basis.
After that beast went on, nothing. Not a single attempt.
