Ok carried on from DR TRE's thread "Peugeot WTF went wrong?"

I noticed this 907 concept in one of the posts

I remarked how it looks very similar to this car

Yet my esteemed collegue who sits next to me (Ph lurker)

said it looked nothing like the SLR and that it's shape was closer to this (personally i think he is way off!)

Could you guys make the decision so we can get on with our work hehe
Thanks!.

The front is very SLR. The back, however, does look very similar to the three fiddy.

Defo more SLR, with a bit of Panamera I'd say.

There is actually something Ferrari ish about the 907 almost a GT version of a 550/575 - in my eyes anyway. Could be lack of coffee thus far this morning!

what he said ^^^^^ i agree with 550hep. Although to answer the question it does look more like the merc. Cant see any simiarities with the Z so looks like you win.

Long bonnet, side vents and exhaust point towards the SLR. Rear end looks nothing like the Datsun.

I'd love one of those Pugs though.

Could be a Pininfarina thing?
(Always makes me laugh when I look at a Pug 605 and an Alfa 166 - they're a bit on the similar side - it's like they couldn't be arsed ding two designs).

Looks like one of these with some bits of more modern ferraris thrown in and a stupid face on the front.

Tell your chum to stop looking at the glasshouse of the cars, and just concentrate on the bonnet for a few minutes.

He'll either realise he's wrong and admit it or realise he's wrong and not.

My first thought was a cross between the SLR and a Ferrari 275 GTB, with maybe a hint of Ferrari 612 and that mid-engined RUF special (at the back) thrown in for modernity's sake. This isn't the first time Peugeot has come up with an "original", outlandish design- the RCZ smacks of Audi TT. Maybe Peugeot have their design studio in China these days...
