Is this modified M3 really worth that much more than an unmodified one?

I see the guy referenced the paint. It IS a BMW blue. But despite his protestations. The car never left Munich in that colour. So it's a respray. A good one (if you like weird colours) but not original. The "BMW individual" customising plan was not even around when that car was made in 87.
Good E30 M3's are starting to fetch a premium of course, and if it was the ORIGNAL colour, and had FSH he may be looking at £15-20K for it.

The paint's going to get f
ked anyway, once you start ripping it round a track twice a month. If you really want a modified E30 M3, surely 12k on this would be money better spent

Although TBH, I'd rather have a standard car

Not really IMO. If you want a 3.2 M3. Just buy the E36 version. It'll be cheaper too, and less rusty, and more reliable. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1769053.htm

I there anyone else here that wouldn't consider paying £35k for a car they weren't allowed to test drive first? Just me?
Madness.
Not just you. Madness.
For 35k my mind immediately thinks there is a DB7 Volante out there with my name on it....
That's a couple doors down from where I live. Always a nice selection in there.

So he's taken an E30 M3 and replaced or modified all of the bits (suspension & engine in particular) that make that M3 so special and sought-after IN ORIGINAL FORM!!! And now he wants silly money for it?!?http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1743174.htm

When the former supercar club Group20 was formed the owner bought a 600K orange Pagani Zonda, he was not allowed a test drive eitherMadness.
