Lost my driving licence

I can't find my driving licence and I'm going to France on Friday. Any idea what happens if I get stopped and I haven't got it?

And a set of spare bulbs, a stripy jumper and a packet of Galoise.

Only one of the above is necessary.

Or phone the DVLA as when i forgot mine in Spain last year they faxed a copy of it to Alicante airport who then let me have my hirecar.
