I'm after some aluminium mounts for my bucket seats, similar to these:

I'd need 2 of each, from 20mm thick aluminium (or similar)

So:

2 x 570mm x 56mm x 20mm
2 x 570mm x 92mm x 20mm

Can anyone help, and give me a price? I'm based in Manchester, but I suppose they could be couriered from anywhere as they're aluminium?

Thanks in advance!

Anyone with a decent CNC router or mill could whizz those up for you. Surely there would be someone local to you with the appropriate machine and skillz?

Plain silver is fine by me. Any idea on a rough price?

I've had a fair few people ask me for them since I'v started asking so there may be a bit of a market for them if it's not too difficult/costly to produce a few?

I would say as a 1 off of each 2 hours per part = plus £10 each for materials. expect a £60 per hour charge. 1 hour would be setting and programming, so after programming they would take an hour each to make. They will be far cheaper in quantity, as setting time and programming will be diveded between the number of parts. You may save money by sending CAD data as it will be eaiser to program from all depends on who does it. I can't unfortunatly take on this job as I do CNC stuff for a big coperate outfit and have no way of doing that. Any engineering company will be able to make these very easily.

+1

Setting up a 3 axis CNC machine with different depths, tool sizes and cutting speeds is nothing short of a time consuming pain in the arse wink And unfortunately I'm guessing it's gonna take as much time as ARH says even for pros to do.

I would certainly allow 1 hour setup for each part. amy get it done quicker but that would be what I would quote.

Cheers for the advice guys! I'll see if I can find someone in Manchester who can look at it for me.
