The current Bangernomics car is playing up and I'm considering cutting my losses, any idea what scrap value is currently like and what i can reasonably expect for a mkIII 1994 fiesta?

Thanks in advance.

Up this way, currenty £150 if you turn up with the car, £100 if it's picked up.

Friend of mine just got £120 for a 1995 shagged Astra that just failed the MOT driving it there, £100 if he'd had it collected.

Varies from day to day and place to place but you should be able to get £100 per ton if you take it in rather than asking them to collect.

You can also reclaim any remaining road tax - which isn't really an option if you sell it as a car. Depends how much tax is on it but it might make financial sense to scrap if there's a significant amount.

The adverts in the local papers (Essex) are all advertising £145 for scrap cars at the moments. If you get any free papers where you are look for the adds.

ETA: or was it £135? Anyway look in the paper.

Well with a driving holiday around Ireland looming a Marea weekend seems to fit the bill smile
