£100 cars gone forever?
Discussion
Have the days when you could pick up an older car for next to nothing gone forever? Obviously the price of scrap has gone up considerably and the scrappage sheme won't of helped. Five years ago though you could buy some properly interesting metal for £500. Now all I can seem to find is none runners and Knackered old mondeos.

Mot's are tougher these days and with scrappage, means less older cars out there and if they have a ticket they are generally worth more anyhow.Cheap ones, even a few years ago where more the rarity than the norm.
But its not just this, look at inflation too. If you go back far enough in time new cars were under £1000....
