Currently using Comma stuff, works down to -60 which is not much of a useful feature this time of year nor is the fact it wont cut through anything bug wise.....

Any recommendations from the ph massive? Dont know about you lot but I prefer to buy concentrate, pre mix is a complete rip off...

I'm a big fan (in winter when your washer bottle is frozen and you can't drive to work "fan" is a suitable word for decent screenwash) of the VW stuff.

Costs around £3/Litre but dilutes right down in summer time.

Rightly or wrongly I've always been wary of "5L of blue stuff for four quid" at Wilkinsons.

2.5 litres of concentrate for a quid in Asda, works fine.
In the depths of winter I can use half a washer bottle a day on my commute, more if I end up stuck behind a lorry, so I'm generally loath to spend any more than that!

Do you mean the Kristallklar additive as shown on this page: http://www.einszett.co.uk/Glass-Care.php

One bottle of this has lasted me nearly 2 years, and still going. Works well at the recommended dose, and no smearing problems at all in that time. So it costs about £2.50 per year for about 10,000 miles for me, plus about a tenner for when it gets really cold for antifreeze solutions.

Surely any other way is throwing money away?

I'm not cheap (run Synthetic oil and decent tyres, brake pads etc., well I do own a Diesel I suppose), but can think of better ways to waste money when the Einszett product does so much for so little.

Surely not good for any wax on the bodywork?

Good stuff agreed, I used it myself, but I don't think it has any anti freezing agents in it.

Obviously not an issue at the moment and I may be mistaken, but worth mentioning.

And turns into a bar of soap in the bottom of your washer bottle/pump.

Same here. But for summer use I'm also a 'fan' of the Clearalex sachets as they seem pretty effective at shifting splattered bugs:

The Halfords meadow scented stuff is nice; but you don't get much in the bottle.

50% water
50% methylated spirit
and just a drop of washing up liquid.

No fooling, this really is as good as you'll get.

Funny how it's possible to use nothing else in a car for twenty years and not have it suffer any damage from it at all then.

More FUD to con people into wasting money on crappy expensive blue stuff that leaves smears and doesn't work anything like as well.
