Sales flop it might have been, and some could argue too slow and underpowered, even in its day.

But is it just me, or do these look flippin great! smile

Yeah, I've always quite liked them (except for the wheels - which make them look a bit 'kit car').

How much do they go for these days?

lol, well I guess it just doesn't compare to your 1.8 LX Mondeo laugh But then again in other threads you do proclaim Astra's to be "brilliant" rolleyes so then again.... hehe

There's a tired one for sale in PH classifieds for £9000.

A couple of weeks ago there were three nice ones, £12,000 to £14,000.

They look better in the flesh.

There's only one in the classifieds: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1559881.htm

And the answer would appear, not a lot. £9k

Reckon one with a few subtle mods and maybe a modern alloy V8 would be a serious bit of different motorcar.

I like these. I even like the Wolfrace wheels. Then I go & look at a Lotus Esprit. & the AC comes of somewhat 2nd hand.

I like wolfie's. IIRC the Scottish cars had different alloys on them.

I saw one of these on the road for the first time ever the other day. I was bemoaning a road closure causing a 5 mile diversion, but it enabled this spot so worth it in the end!

I've always had a soft spot for these:

Because, when I was a young lad (12y), I used to cycle past a garage full of these every day. getmecoat

They're not fast, they're not good, but imho they look cool and nobody knows what the fk it is biggrin

Agree. Although what amazes me more, is that when people don't know, a bit like Helldriver here, then the car is automatically rubbish. Which was really the reason why I replied in like fashion to them. Also based on similarly dismissive comments posted by them previously.

But that's beside the point.... lol smile

Umm, might have to see if I can order a back issue. Cheers for the heads up. smile

Quite impressive, as wikipedia says there were only 71 built, and I doubt they all still exist.

Have to say, I didn't check prices until after posting this. They are a heck of a lot cheaper than I thought they'd be. Quite affordable really, even for likes of a pauper like me. biggrin

Two arrived at a Malton breakfast meet, and they looked absolutely gorgeous.

Immaculate examples can be found for circa £15k, reasonable ones are out there for under £10k

It still looks like somethong a kid in the 80's would have sketched, or some road going version of an old 60's F1 car.

300hp/ton, wind your neck in. You're just making yourself look stupider than you already appear to be.
