Cripes!

Just got home from driving two mates up to John O' Groats, for them to ride the 1,000 or so miles to Lands end on bikes for charity.

Journey up was pretty good as the 3 of us shared the driving over night. The journey home today was pretty tiring on my own I have to say!

People talk about the effect of england flags on MPG - well I can tell you a boot of gear, 3 up, and 2 bike on vertical racks does little for economy!!

Still despite this, 1,500 miles (in 48 hours!), despite the journey up only being 34mpg, the total was nearer 40...

have to say, the BM really showed it's capability on this mammoth journey, plenty quick enough, great range, and still fun to hustle along the a/b roads of Scotland.

Now just need to find some bug remover! (after a sleep!)

I think someone I know may have done this bike ride. How many people were actually riding?

Good effort!

I did Copenhagen to home, 900 miles in 1 day in my 996 with a co-driver, good fun that trip was! It was the last day of driving to Oslo and back, 2500 miles in 4 days.

2 chaps doing it - but loads of people doing it in each direction all the time. We chatted to a chap this morning who had just got to JOG on foot - 69 days!

Last week I did 1200 miles in this 23 year old slice of cheese:

Lancashire to Le Mans and back again.

And it didn't blow up.

But it was really, really hard work.
