Going to Thruxton on thursday and need to know if there are any nice pubs / restaurants near the track that do a decent lunch. Preferably somewhere that still serves food at around 4PM

About 5 miles away. Had many a great meal there. Nice local ales too.
Doesn't quite fit in with your timescale through. They serve until 2:30, then again from about 6 I think.

Oddly enough, even though we live in Germany, I was talking with my wife about this pub this morning.
