I think you expect a few, you don't think they carry it to the dealer do you?
That actually made me burst out laughing on the phone when talking to a customer, just had a brilliant mental image of the salemens carrying it to the forecourt!

Hi
I took home my first brand new car today, its not very PH but cheap to run. Its a Toyota Aygo! My question is that it had 5 miles on the clock, shouldnt it be 0? This may sound like a stupid question but its my first experience on new cars. Thanks
Don't worry, this is completely normal. You just need to push it backwards for 5 miles and it will be back to brand spanking new before you know it. This never used to be a problem when they built the cars from flat packs at the dealerships. Progress eh!

someone may correct me on this but i think the limit is as much as 150miles -certainly the case for contract hire cars.
10-30 is not unusual though as often cars are driven/checked at the factory then again on PDI.
Some vehicles can be reset to zero from up to 250 miles. Twice.10-30 is not unusual though as often cars are driven/checked at the factory then again on PDI.
One last question. The aygo I bought is brand new blah blah. Its a 2010 model. Looking at stickers etc in the engine bay and on the seat belts it looks like it was built in feb of this year. Where will it have been for the last 4 months? I dont no how dealers work? I only ordered it last week so didnt expect a factory order.
