Bunny Hopping Jaguar Auto

My mothers Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 Automatic has developed a fault.
In Restricted Performance mode.
Bunny Hopping in second gear.
Lift off and Re apply power will ease symptoms.
Any ideas?
Car is a 2002 02, 80k miles silver sport model.
Had a recon gearbox 10 months ago via a national chain of Jaguar/Merc/Honda/Harley dealers who share their name with King Arthur?? (That should avoid the name and shame rules on PH quite nicley.)
