PH High Milers Club.

Thought the title was mile high club... Anyway before I got rid of it, the prelude (mk3) had 147,000 miles, so barely run in compared to some here I would imagine.
On that mileage the engine ran as new and managed a quarter mile at Santa pod with the same time and speed as when it was tested by autocar in 1990, shame about thecancer rust.

Our 6 year old Polo is about to click over 140k, still running sweet and looks like a 2 year old car.
Funny how high miles puts a lot of people off, some of the most money I have spent on cars was between 60-100k miles, I have had 3 cars over 130k and all 3 have cost peanuts to run, and I sold them for not a lot less than I paid for them - high miler bangornomics

Got a Corsa Diesel (X reg) that has 220k on it, and a Mondeo TDCi with 260k on it. Having just purchased the Mondeo, I am going to hang on to the Corsa for a couple of weeks until the Mondeo proves itself ok.
About 10 years ago I had an E32 730i that had about 450k on it - it was difficult to know exactly how many as the odometer stops at 299999 for some reason. Not bad for a petrol engined car!
